Diagnosed as autistic in her teens, she is passionate about neurodivergent representation and disability advocacy. She lives just north of Toronto with her partner and an excessive number of dogs. Alyza Liu at Simon & Schuster has acquired Caitlin Chisling's debut novel What the Wind Said, a YA fantasy set in a world where a hungry wind uses impossible wishes to devour the living, in which a sheltered girl has to team up with a snake oil salesman to rescue her kidnapped brother. Publication is planned for spring 2027; Bridget Smith at JABberwocky Literary Agency did the deal for North American rights.
