Layla McCay was once a British diplomat’s wife in Washington and Tokyo. She is the author of The Queer Bookshelf: a reader’s guide as well as Breaking the Rainbow Ceiling, which explores the history of LGBTQ+ diplomats. She won the gold Axiom book award and features on the Diversity Power List and LGBTQ+ Executive Role Model list. Layla and her wife live in London.
